ARRI Inc. Announces New Management Structure

Volker Bahnemann, President and CEO of ARRI Inc. and Camera Service Center (CSC) announced major changes in the management structure of both American operations.

“The growth of our business, its expansion into new market segments and the addition of more service facilities required this reorganization,” says Bahnemann. “With the appointment of two chief operating officers--Charles Davidson for ARRI Inc. and Simon Broad for CSC--we will shape the future of our organization.” Concurrently Mark Machover is promoted to chief financial officer for CSC and John Gresch to vice president, lighting division for ARRI Inc.

Davidson has led ARRI’s US lighting division almost since its inception, joining the company in 1981 as lighting product manager. He was named vice president, lighting division in 1986. Davidson began his career as a stagehand at Disney World and later toured as an electrician with numerous rock concerts. Prior to joining ARRI, he was Northeast regional sales manager for Berkey Colortran. In addition, Davidson serves as the director of a men’s homeless shelter in New York.

He joined ARRI Media in London as sales and marketing manager in 1990 and subsequently became client liaison manager. After a brief departure from the film industry, during which time he managed a series of corporate entertainment venues in England, he returned to ICM as agent for film and television technical heads of department. In July 2003 Simon moved to New York, accepting the title of vice president, marketing at Camera Service Center.

Machover joined Camera Service Center as controller in 1990, bringing with him extensive financial experience as a public accountant. He was named vice president, finance and administration in 1997, handling a large and diverse range of responsibilities as the CSC Group has expanded.

Gresch began his career in 1975 with Berkey Colortran and went on to form his own business, Excalibur Industries. For the past 18 years he has been ARRI’s lighting manager for the Western US and Mexico.
