The Wingspace Mentorship program is a free one-year professional development program for young theater artists seeking guidance at the start of their careers. We are offering mentorships in scenic design, costume design, lighting design, sound design and projection design.

With access to over thirty Wingspace members working across many different milieus, this mentorship offers a broad range of possibilities. While the exact shape of the experience can be tailored to the needs of the accepted applicants, some of the benefits include:

  • Monthly career guidance meetings.
  • Opportunities to assist Wingspace members on their current projects.
  • Short-term usage of space at the Wingspace studio.
  • Observing professional artists during rehearsals.
  • Occasional complimentary tickets to productions.

Successful applicants will be recent college graduates who are detail-oriented, hard-working, self-motivated and passionate about the performing arts.  Wingspace is dedicated to the goal of building a culturally diverse and pluralistic theater community and therefore strongly encourages applications from women, persons of color and individuals with disabilities.
