14th Annual Long Reach Long Rider Charity Ride

The 14th annual Long Reach Long Rider charity motorcycle ride to benefit Behind the Scenes and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, dubbed “The Avocado Adventure,” is shaping up to be the largest ever. As of January 1, 28 riders and two chase cars have registered for the ride. This is the largest group assembled at this stage in the planning.

“The response has been fantastic," says Drew Wending, this year’s Ride Marshal. “The more riders we have, the more money we raise, and the better we can help Behind the Scenes and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.”

The 2017 ride begins in Escondido, CA on June 16 and returns to Escondido on June 25. The route will give the riders a view of Southern California not found on the homes of the stars tour. Trips are planned to the Mt. Palomar observatory and through Palm Desert as well as time spent on the ever popular California Route 1. Loren Schreiber, Ride Marshal for the 2016 ride comments, "This ride is shaping up to be every bit as good as last year’s ride through New Mexico.”

The Long Reach Long Riders annual charity motorcycle ride benefits Behind the Scenes as well as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.  What began in 2004 as a single event blossomed into an annual ride that has raised over $550,000.00 for the two charities.  Visit Long Reach Long Riders for more information, to join the ride, or make a donation.
