After growing tired of the shortcomings of existing label options, Reliable Design Services brings the entertainment industry the first permanent, laser engraved, metal product tags. With the goal of making sure product information isn’t easily lost or removed from the trusses they manufacture, Reliable set out to create a solution that could withstand the abuse dished out by road use and to meet the requirements of the ANSI E1.2 standard. The laser engraved metal tags mean the information can’t be smudged or wiped away, erased by UV, or lost if the tag is cleaned with solvent.
Consisting of a pair of tags affixed to each section of truss, the labels provide users with the information they need when pulling equipment in their shop for a show and provides answers to questions on the job site. The first tag carries the serial number, job number, and manufacturing date for the piece of truss in hand. The second tag gives the user a basic load table along with a scannable QR code that directs them to the full product information page on the RDS website.
Tags are produced with both silver and black backgrounds, allowing them to blend in with the truss section and keeping them as discreet as possible. In addition to standard product tags, Reliable can also produce custom tags for clients to identify other equipment, add labels to transportation carts and cases, and more.
