ProCo Sound's Wireless In-Ear Monitor System Makes NAMM Debut

ANAHEIM, JANUARY 2, 2020 – The new Wireless In-Ear Monitor System (W.I.E.M.S.) from ProCo Sound, an ACT/RHC brand, is making its NAMM debut at the RHC booth (11610). Featuring the company’s latest technology, W.I.E.M.S. is the most-compact in-ear solution on the market today. With up to 30 meters of range (line-of-sight) between the transmitter and belt-pack receiver, ProCo’s W.I.E.M.S. features a sleek and simple design, with no external antennas and a seamless plug-and-pair set-up.

ProCo’s W.I.E.M.S. has four user-selectable channels, which provides the ability to deploy up to four systems simultaneously. The easy to use solution features a 3.5-mm headphone jack—enabling users to plug in their preferred earpiece. Both the receiver and transmitter are powered by a lithium-ion battery, which is easily rechargeable with the included micro-USB and AC/DC charging adaptor. A single charge provides six to eight hours of battery life, ensuring that users don’t lose power when it’s needed most.

The belt-pack receiver automatically pairs to the transmitter, which uses the 5.8GHz frequency band to eliminate any potential interference or conflict from other WiFi traffic. The compact transmitter fits easily into nearly any hand. It also has an XLR-Female on one end, which is designed to plug into any open line-level feed at the stage. On the opposite end of the transmitter, LED lights indicate the status of the system.

“The W.I.E.M.S. is perfect for anyone looking to eliminate the restrictions and challenges of a wired monitor system,” says Shawn Wells, AV Marketing Manager, ProCo Sound. “It gives users the flexibility to move throughout the stage or studio without the fear of tripping over an in-ear monitor wire. A great deal of time and energy went into designing this wireless system, which is smaller than anything else of its kind. It comes complete in a hard-shell case, small enough to throw in a gig bag or guitar case. With high-quality audio and a compact design, ProCo’s W.I.E.M.S. allows users to put their mix into their own hands.”

Additionally, with a simple XLR cable, the transmitter works through any Dante-enabled wall-plate or drop-snake, such as ProCo’s latest AoD solutions. Combined with the compact and lightweight (less than 3oz.) aluminum belt-pack receiver, W.I.E.M.S. provides crystal clear 24-bit/48KHz digital transmission with a latency of less than 5.6ms.
