Maestra London Grows The Team

London and Dubai based creative and technical event production and management specialist Maestra announces more new staff having completed an incredibly successful first year of business which exceeded all expectations!

The London operation starts 2017 with four new highly talented and motivated individuals joining Justin Hammond, Emma Perrin and the team based in their newly expanded premises in Woolwich, east London.

Emma Perrin, Maestra London’s General Manager comments, “It’s really exciting to  welcome new faces to the company and each was picked for their skill sets, lively personalities and ability to think ‘out-of-the-box’ – all the attributes needed to deliver the specific Maestra event management and production experience that is at the core of our values".

Kate Jarvis joins as a Senior Project Manager who will be exploring and pitching ideas as well as managing and co-ordinating projects, ensuring that Maestra’s diverse client base enjoys the service and standards of excellence that everyone expects.

Katie studied film and production at Falmouth University in Cornwall, going on to work and gain multiple skills in that industry before specialising in production and design.

For the last five years she’s worked as a senior project manager and event consultant for a leading UK event company where she ran high profile private events, themed parties, exhibitions, brand activations and product launches.

Kate relocated to London to take up this position with Maestra. She wanted to work there because of “The quality and reputation of the work produced, the team behind it and the innovative and forward thinking approach”.

She enjoys being part of a team and her experience, attention to detail and dedicated work ethic will all be huge assets to the company.

In her spare time, Kate still loves film as well as travelling and, when she has time … baking!

Project Manager Henrietta Appiah was a communications & media studies student at Brunel University and has always been interested in film, photography and editing.

However an internship as an events co-ordinator fired a passion for “all things events” which has been her professional career for the last 10 years, during which time she’s worked with some premium companies. This has included Unilever where she managed internal and external promotions and clients, running multiple events across multi-level communication platforms, from webcasts to a G8 event attended by world leaders including the then UK Prime Minister, David Cameron.

Henrietta enjoys uniting all the various elements involved in an event and combining them into a harmonious end result.

She was attracted to Maestra because they are a young and vibrant company, “I appreciate their transparency and it’s a great opportunity for me to learn and gain a wealth of knowledge”.

Henrietta also loves to travel outside of work and has an “appetite for adventure”

Jamie Twyman comes on-board as a Production Designer where his technical and       imaginative skills will be kept well energised … in tune with the key reasons he loves the events industry, “the fast pace, the creativity and being at the cutting edge of technology”.

Jamie’s been active in the events industry around London for 13 years. His vast experience in that time includes working as a technician, so he also brings a real practicality to the table, coupled with expansive knowledge and the ability to think laterally throughout the design and delivery process.

He loves the challenges and testing elements of the events industry and wanted to work for Maestra to be “part of an ambitious and creative company where I can also learn, grow and develop my career”.

Jamie is also a keen artist whose work has been exhibited prolifically in galleries and events around London including the Strand Gallery, the Menier Gallery and the London Urban Arts Fair. He also enjoys playing basketball and tennis and spending time with family and friends.

Georgie Archer takes on the essential role of Operations & Admin Assistant, right at the heart of the Maestra London.

After studying Creative Media at North West Kent College, she worked in a variety of jobs organising events - “any excuse” she says - thriving on the vibes of those around her and enjoying that unique blend of people and places that makes an event environment fun and memorable.

She believes communication is the key to all aspects of life and loves seeing all the pieces of an event come together as a common shared experience.

She looks forward to spending an interesting and invigorating stage of her career at Maestra which will allow her to flourish and build relationships as well as expand her skill base.

Georgie feels at home in the positive and inclusive atmosphere at Maestra, the energy and the buzz suit her completely. “It’s a big thing to smile and bring laughter into the workplace”. Naturally social, vivacious and talkative, her other activities are clothing brand related, enjoying her friends, networking and making new connections.
