Lightswitch Expands Team of Directors

Lightswitch expands team with the addition of a New Director of Business Development and Director of Marketing

Lighting and visual designers Lightswitch announced two new members of our team of Directors with the addition of Kara O’Grady, Director of Business Development, and Katelyn Le-Thompson, Director of Marketing. Kara is based in our New York office and Katelyn is based in our Chicago office.

Kara is not new to the world of lighting design; since graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Lighting Design, her career has spanned the gamut from dance to systems integration. Starting with lighting opera, Kara traveled up and down the East Coast designing in multiple venues. In New York, she began working in permanent installations, renovations, and other creative ventures. With her extensive experience and industry knowledge in both lighting design and manufacturing, we are excited to have Kara on board as our Director of Business Development.

Katelyn recently earned her BFA in Lighting Design, along with three minors in Communication Studies, from DePaul University in Chicago. As a member of the Lightswitch team, Katelyn combines her love for lighting and marketing by coordinating coverage of various projects for every office. She has a passion for dynamic visual storytelling and we are pleased Katelyn is helping us share our stories, ideas, and vision as our new Marketing Director.
