CORE Lighting Points Out Big Success at Prolight

UK wireless LED lighting manufacturer CORE Lighting enjoyed a busy and successful Prolight+Sound 2015 expo at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt – the first time the CORE brand has exhibited directly under its own banner at this show but with the usual support of White Light as exclusive European distributor.

CORE with White Light took advantage of the dynamic international mix of Prolight’s visitor base to launch its new StripPoint LED batten fixture, as well as using the opportunity to meet potential new dealers from Europe and further afield.

Having just appointed Keylight as dealer in the Netherlands to supplement other dealers in other European countries, CORE is keen to further expand its network worldwide.

They additionally showcased the tiny new PinPoint units and best-selling ColourPoint Mk2 range of wireless battery-powered up-lighters together with other  innovative luminaires, all proudly ‘Made in the UK’ which are ideal for all scenarios needing neat, fast and cable-free lighting solutions!

Says CORE’s MD Phil Ion, “The response in Frankfurt was superb! We were busy for most of all four days and saw people from across Europe and plenty of visitors from Asia, the Far East and the pan-Pacific regions. The StripPoint and PinPoint attracted a lot of attention as the newest products … but there was also great interest in the existing ColourPoint, Point30 and battery floodlight products”.

Phil commented that the whole Prolight experience reaffirmed his belief in its strategic importance as a vibrant European gateway for the professional entertainment industry. “We certainly feel that being there as CORE in our own right has increased our visibility and brand awareness.”

The new CORE StripPoint is a 1 metre long unit with 18 map-able RGBW LEDs which emit an impressive 4000 lumens … drawing only 90W of power! Each LED cell’s colour is also individually controllable via a homogenous mix of four colours. It is completely battery powered - lasting up to 8 hours in 2-colour mode – and can be run wirelessly (via WDMX) or via wired DMX if preferred. It can also be mains powered. The StripPoint is IP65 rated for outdoor use and maximum functionality, and robustly quality-engineered like all CORE products.

CORE’s PinPoint is a tiny wireless pin-spot / birdie weighing just 700 grams with a single LED lightsource outputting a punchy 300+ lumens. The head is connected to the base of the PinPoint via a flexible stainless steel 'gooseneck' for maximum focusability, and the brushed aluminium housing is stylish and contemporary. Wireless controls include Wireless DMX and Bluetooth utilizing CORE’s own proprietary tablet apps.

After PLASA Focus Leeds, where the products will be shown by White Light, next stop on the exhibition calendar for CORE is PLASA Focus Kansas City, where Phil and the US team will seek to reinforce the rapid increase in business there over the last 6 months.
