Claypaky Improves Its North American Service Network

With the addition of a key staff member and a regional service center, Claypaky’s North American customers can expect enhanced project support and service.

Ray Whitton recently joined Claypaky’s team as North American Business Development Manager. He brings 30 years of automated lighting expertise, as well as experience with top lighting designers and touring, stage, and television production companies.

“Claypaky has always been one of the most innovative and recognized brands in entertainment lighting. I am very excited about this opportunity and know the best is yet to come for our customers,” said Whitton. He will work with Dennis Knopf, Senior Business Development Manager, and George Masek, Senior Product Specialist, to provide a new level of service.

Claypaky also established a facility in Dallas, Texas for North American product distribution and support. Industry veteran, Julie Smith, will oversee the operation. In addition to decreasing delivery times, the Dallas facility will provide support, parts, and repairs. Moreover, it will house a product demonstration space and feature a hands-on technical service training center. The facility will be operational in November 2019.

"The improvement in service for the North American market is not simply a milestone, but a new starting point," said Marcus Graser, CEO of Claypaky. Graser continued, “For us, this step has deep strategic value, since it allows us to support the full spectrum of professionals in the entertainment lighting industry. We will provide solutions and new technology to enhance their creativity, in keeping with Claypaky’s passion for innovation. As such, we expect significant growth in North America in the coming years.”

Alberico D’Amato, Claypaky Sales Director, added, “We look forward to working with all of our new partners and colleagues. In an era of constant fluctuation in our industry, we have laid the optimal foundation to position Claypaky and our partners for success. This new sales and support structure will serve our customers well into the future.”
