CHAUVET Professional Sponsors Three Educational Sessions at WFX

ORLANDO – Some of the most critical issues involved in house of worship lighting will be the focus of three WFX educational sessions sponsored by CHAUVET Professional held on Wednesday September 18 in Room 206B at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Featuring three thought leaders with over 40 years experience designing lighting systems, the sessions will offer concrete advice that churches of any size can use to enhance the worship environment.

Kicking off the sessions from 8:30-9:15 am will be Greg Bacus, the Central Team Leader of Technology for Life.Church, who will discuss “Conquering the Multi-Site.” Bacus will share insights on maintaining church culture from the Main Campus to all Satellite Campus locations through event production and lighting, reinforcing the ministry’s brand across campuses and staying true to the message. Bacus and his team are responsible for integrating and supporting Life.Church’s AVL technology, as well as broadcasting the message each week to its 34 campuses.

From 10:30 to 11:15, Lighting Designer Daniel Connell will present “Lighting for Live Video.”. With more churches using live video to reach people, learning the basics of lighting for multi-camera video capture is essential. Connell has served as the full-time lighting designer for Church On The Move in Tulsa, OK, in addition to doing lighting design work for Willow Creek Church, Passion City Church, Life Church, Bethel Music, Jesus Culture, and Elevation. He will offer tips and techniques for ensuring speakers and backgrounds appear in the best possible lighting on camera, without detracting from the “live experience” for those in attendance.

CHAUVET Professional’s WFX Sessions close out with a moderated panel discussion, “Launching the Campus – Open Mic” from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Alex Fuller, of Fuller Lights LLC, joins Bacus and Connell to answer any questions church leadership and tech teams might have on multi-site church production and new campus launches. With over 15 years of corporate, church and live event experience, Fuller brings a passion for using technical arts as an extension of worship. He will offer attendees valuable insights into educating staff and volunteers on creating atmospheres and experiences that contribute to the worship experience. This informative panel discussion will be moderated by Daryl Sutton, National Worship Resource Manager at CHAUVET Professional.
