A range of Antari smoke machines in combination with Antari fog fluid has been Actors’ Equity Approved by the Actors' Equity Association, the U.S. labor union that represents more than 51,000 actors and stage managers across the country.
“We are very pleased to have received Actors’ Equity Approval for these machine/fluid combinations as it represents an acknowledgement from the entertainment industry that Antari machines and fluid are safe to use in live performance environments,” said Ray Villasenor, Elation Professional Product Manager for Antari. “Our machines are of the highest quality and our fluids are non-irritating, non-toxic and non-flammable water-based compositions so performers need not worry about any adverse affects. Actors' Equity Association (AEA) negotiates wages, improves working conditions and provides a wide range of benefits for its members. AEA has equipment-based guidelines for the use of theatrical smoke and haze and provides generic health protective guidelines for using certain types of smoke- and haze-generating equipment, including for combinations of smoke machines and fluids. The guidelines were initiated in response to concerns by actors that the use of theatrical effects may have an impact on their health.
