wysiwyg Adds New HES, Martin, Vari*lite Fixtures and More to Library

cast-intellaspot-xt-1.jpgCAST of Toronto, Canada announces the addition of over 25 of the latest fixtures from the most popular manufacturers in the lighting industry to the wysiwyg Library, complementing the December release of wysiwyg R28.

Over the last 20 years, the CAST Library has grown to over 24,000 fixtures and accessories available in the industry and it continues to grow with the advent of every new product available. Before any object goes into the Library, each and every piece is tested, measured and certified in-house to ensure 100% reliability so that what happens with a light in the virtual world happens exactly the same on the stage. The brightness and colour of a particular light are exact and moving heads will move like they would when controlled by the actual motors and servos in a live situation.

cast-peter_working2.jpgUnlike some previsualization programs, CAST does not rely solely on the photometrics provided by the manufacturer. Users can be sure that every light, gobo, LED screen and truss portrays exactly what you will see on the stage or architectural setting.

cast-macaura.jpgThe latest fixtures available to current wysiwyg Members include the High End Intellaspot XT-1, Trackspot Bolt and TechnoSpot; ETC Desire D40 Lustr, Source 4 XT HID Zoom and Source 4 Fresnel; Martin MAC Aura; Vari-Lite VLX3 Wash, VL440, VL770 and VL880; Philips Selecon PL1 and PL3; Robe Robin LEDWash 1200, Robin DLX and CityFlex 48; SGM X-5 LED Strobe and XC-5 LED Strobe; Elation Platinum Spot 15R, Platinum Spot 5R and Platinum Beam 5R; JB Lighting A12, A8 and A4, as well as other fixtures, truss and accessories. Members can also access the Google Library comprising of millions of objects making anything possible.

cast-peter-debreceni.jpgThe Object Library that comes with wysiwyg is regularly updated with new lights and production equipment being developed and released by all the brand name manufacturers – more than 50 of them to put a number on it. Only current wysiwyg Members can go online and download the newest fixtures the day they become available. Peter Debreceni, Manager of Libraries at CAST adds, “As an added benefit to our Members, we will create new fixtures upon request, provided we have the time, and we've done so on numerous occasions in the past. To keep up with the speed with which new lighting fixtures are released every day, it's important to have a Library that holds this task as a top priority.”
