These high performance loudspeaker systems are a world-class choice for both speech and music reproduction and, with their compact form factors, are ideally suited for use in front fill, near fill, under-balcony, and choir monitor applications.
Like all loudspeakers systems in the WorxAudio TrueLine Series, the transducer complements in the V5M and V5M-P are top notch. These outstanding loudspeakers incorporate a medium format 1-inch exit compression driver coupled to a stabilized, proprietary FlatWaveâ„¢ Former (wave shaping device) that delivers clear, penetrating high frequencies over a predictable and controlled coverage area. Dual 5-inch cone transducers coupled to the Acoustic Intergrading Module (A.I.M.) minimize cone filtering throughout the entire operating range. Collectively, these systems deliver a rich, fully balanced sound that must be heard to be appreciated.
The powered version, the TrueLine V5M-P, utilizes the company's all-new PSD-500 power amp module. Dedicating 350 watts to the V5M-P's LF section and 150 watts to the HF section, the new power module features four digital programs and has both male/female (loop through) XLR isolated I/O as well as AC PowerCon I/O for exceptionally stable, clean, and clear power. The PSD-500 power module resides on the rear of the enclosure.
Of particular note, the new WorxAudio V5M and V5M-P have a 120-degree symmetrical horizontal coverage pattern and a 30-degree vertical dispersion pattern. This arrangement facilitates consistent sound quality both on- and off-axis—resulting in dramatically improved speech intelligibility and music reproduction—making them a terrific choice for both monitor and fill usage.
Built to withstand the most demanding applications, the V5M's enclosure is constructed from sturdy multi-ply Baltic Birch and is heavily braced for cabinet rigidity, yet it weighs only thirty pounds. The V5M-P (with its integrated power amp module) weighs 32 pounds. Protecting the enclosure is a multi-layered, polyurea finish that is available in black or white. A 16-guage, perforated, cloth-backed, powder coated steel grill with a high transmission ratio protects the transducer complement.
Measuring 18 inches wide by 13 inches deep by 6.8 inches high, both the V5M and V5M-P feature one side that is flat with a 90-degree angle to the floor—making them a terrific choice as a front fill, providing coverage to those members of an audience located close to the stage. Positioned along the front edge of the stage in this orientation, the loudspeakers face directly out at the audience. Alternately, the other side of the new V5M and V5M-P features a 5-degree angle. In this orientation, the loudspeakers make a great choice as a floor monitor. With their unusually broad 120-degree horizontal dispersion, a single V5M or V5M-P placed in the center of the stage area can readily serve as the monitor for an entire choir or group of performers.
