Wonder Wash! American DJ's New Theatrix Pro 48 LED Adds White LEDs to RGB Wash for Enhanced Color Mixing and Versatility

theatrix-pro-48led.jpgLOS ANGELES – Whatever shade or color you want to project on a stage or wall – even the brightest of whites -- the new Theatrix Pro 48 LED from American DJ will conjure it up to perfection. That's because this high-output DMX-compatible RGBW wash bar contains not only the typical red, green and blue LEDs, but also white LEDs, giving it greater versatility and color mixing capabilities.

Equipped with a total of 48 1-watt LEDs (12 each red, green, blue and white), the Theatrix Pro 48 LED is perfect for theaters, productions, churches and architectural applications that want an LED color wash fixture that is not only extremely bright but also very versatile. With 12 white LEDs added to the mix, operators can create a wider range of colors, including pastels, and they also have the option of using the Theatrix Pro 48 LED as an all-white wash.

“In today's economy, end-users are looking to stretch their lighting dollars further and get the most for their money,” said Scott Davies, General Manager of the American DJ Group of Companies. “The Theatrix Pro 48 LED helps them do this by being an extremely versatile entertainment and architectural wash bar that can create virtually any color imaginable – or it can double as an all-white wash if you simply shut off its red, green and blue LEDs. Another advantage of having white LEDs is that they give RGB-mixed colors a more professional, smoothly blended look.”

Operators can blend literally millions of customized RGBW mixed colors using a DMX controller, choosing from 7 different DMX operation modes – 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 16 or 19-channel. Or they can run the Theatrix Pro 48 LED's exciting built-in color changing programs without a controller in Automatic or Sound Active mode. To wash larger walls and stages, Multiple Theatrix Pro 48 LED units can be linked together Master-Slave via 3-pin XLR cable. Another control option is to use American DJ's easy-to-operate UC3 remote controller (sold separately), which gives users wireless command of the built-in programs, blackout and other basic functions.

In all modes, the Theatrix Pro 48 LED will produce rich, vibrant colors with extremely smooth fades. Equipped with 0-100% electronic dimming, it can create fast or slow color changes, and includes a color strobe effect for added visual drama.

As an LED-powered unit, the Theatrix Pro 48 LED offers substantial advantages over conventional halogen wall washes. For one, it operates at a very cool temperature, making it great for shows and concerts where traditional stage lighting would emit uncomfortable heat onto performers. Another huge advantage is that its LED diodes consume much less power than traditional lamps -- just 57W per unit at full use. This results in significant energy-savings and allows more units to be connected per electrical circuit without worries of overloading. Users won't have to worry about replacing burnt-out lamps on the Theatrix Pro 48 LED either, since its long-life LEDs are rated at 100,000 hours.

The Theatrix Pro 48 LED includes a user-friendly 4-button LED display on the rear panel for easy access to its various modes, programs and features. It also comes with versatile mounting brackets that allow it to be hung from truss or set on the floor, and an IEC AC outlet on the rear for daisy-chaining power. Featuring multi-voltage operation 100-240V, 50/60Hz, the Theatrix Pro 48 LED weighs 11 lbs. and measures 16.75”L x 6.25”W x 7”H including bracket. The MSRP of the Theatrix Pro 48 LED is $999.95.
