LOS ANGELES -- After more than 20 years of providing sound reinforcement systems for both regional and national productions, North Hollywood-based US Audio and Lighting reports that it has expanded with the addition of a new Northern California satellite office and shop under the direction of Patrick Coughlin. In tandem with the news, the company also announces that it has grown its equipment inventory with the recent acquisition of four L-ACOUSTICS LA-RAK touring racks each loaded with three LA8 amplified controllers.

According to President Pete Docter, the investment in LA-RAK represents US Audio and Lighting's strategy to bump up to the loudspeaker manufacturer's K Standard platform.

"As one of the largest V-DOSC providers here in the United States, we were actually one of the very first companies to adopt L-ACOUSTICS' LA8 four years ago," Docter notes. "In fact, this recent purchase brings our quantity of LA8 units up to 42. So the natural progression for us is to transition our entire inventory over to LA-RAK, which we plan to do over the next year. It's a very slick, convenient and well-thought-out system and we're very pleased to have now taken delivery of our initial order."

The sound reinforcement provider notes that it also simultaneously purchased a dozen L-ACOUSTICS 112P self-powered coaxial loudspeakers for front-fill use and other various applications.

US Audio and Lighting manages to keep its LA8 fleet busy at a myriad of venues, including the performing arts theaters of several large Indian casinos in Northern California, on local festivals like "Rock the Bells" and "Smokeout", and, most recently, with V-DOSC and KUDO stages at Hornet Stadium for national acts performing during the Sacramento Mountain Lions' home games.

Docter's company also handles systems integration work for clients like the famed Hollywood Bowl, which enhanced its audio system this past season with the addition of a dozen L-ACOUSTICS SB28 subs, ten ARCS enclosures for front-fill and side-fill, and half a dozen LA8 amplified controllers.

US Audio and Lighting's new office is located in Lathrop, in the heart of the Central Valley, just south of Sacramento and east of San Francisco. For more info on the company, visit www.usaudioandlighting.com.
