CHULA VISTA, Calif., April 20, 2009 — In a collaboration that underscores the benefits of the company's Certified Solutions Program, Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group, has announced that several of its new 3LCD projectors will incorporate Device Discovery technology from AMX, one of the world's leading manufacturers of control and automation systems. AMX Device Discovery will be available in Hitachi's CP-X2010N, CP-X2510N and CP-X3010N networkable projectors.
When integrating a serial or IP device that supports AMX Device Discovery, all AMX NetLinx Integrated Central Controllers will recognize the device, systematically load the appropriate communications module or driver and the new device is ready for use. The NI Controller recognizes the device and loads the appropriate module either from a library on the Controller or from AMX's website. Device Discovery also allows for device swapping so that programming changes are not required when devices are removed or replaced.
The Hitachi CP-X2010N, CP-X2510N and CP-X3010N networkable projectors now offer even easier and more cost-effective installation to dealers with Device Discovery now embedded, while providing simpler maintenance and a lower cost of ownership to end users.
The integration of AMX Device Discovery into the Hitachi projector models is an advancement of Hitachi's Certified Solutions Program of which AMX is a longstanding member. The Certified Solutions Program is designed to provide dealers and distributors with value-added solutions from top manufacturers throughout the audio/video industry.
