SHO Nightclub, an 8,500-square-foot club that opened on swanky Las Olas Boulevard earlier this year, features six Q-Spot™ 260 LED moving heads, four LED Techno Strobe™ strobe lights, four Intimidator™ Scan LED scanners, and 14 COLORdash™ PAR, 60 Ilumipod LΩGIC 12, two Ilumiline LΩGIC 12 and eight Ilumiline LΩGIC 24 wash lights.

The bi-level club immerses partygoers in a chic and innovative atmosphere by combining lavish décor with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. Twelve recessed Ilumipod LΩGIC 12 wash lights provide downlighting to the club's massive rectangular bar while 14 CHAUVET® COLORdashâ„¢ PAR wash lights, six CHAUVET® Q-Spotâ„¢ 260 LED moving heads and four LED Techno Strobeâ„¢ lights illuminate the dance floor and exclusive VIP areas. Eight Ilumiline LΩGIC 24 and two Ilumiline LΩGIC 12 wash lights line the DJ booth set inside a wall-to-wall, red-velvet lined VIP area. The second floor, which includes additional VIP areas, a DJ booth, dance floor and bar, glows a serene, bluish-green color as 45 recessed Ilumipod LΩGIC 12 wash lights downlight the space and four CHAUVET® Intimidatorâ„¢ Scan LED scanners project richly saturated gobos that dance on the floor and walls. Luis Goenaga, sound and lighting director at SHO Nightclub, is very impressed with the flexibility and capability of the club's lighting system.

“The lighting installed at SHO is so versatile that one night it can feel like an elegant lounge and the next night it's transformed to a mind-blowing club environment,” Goenaga said. “Changing the ambiance from one end of the spectrum to another can be done with the flick of a switch.”

Vito Viscito, general manager of SHO Nightclub, enjoys the simplicity of the lighting system and thinks it adds a certain type of energy to the club atmosphere in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

“The lighting we use adds electric energy to the music format and our club environment as a whole,” Viscito said. “It is one of the most user-friendly systems I have ever had the pleasure to work with.”
