Power To Go! American Audio's Lightweight & Affordable XLT Series Power Amplifiers Provide the Performance Pros Demand

xlt-series-stacked_smaller.jpgLOS ANGELES (For Immediate Release) — Offering massive power and professional performance at an affordable price, the XLT Series Power Amplifiers from American Audio feature an advanced design technology that makes them lighter in weight than traditional amps — and great for use on the road.

The complete American Audio XLT Series consists of the XLT900, XLT1200, XLT2000 and XLT2500 — four highly portable professional audio amplifiers that represent a major breakthrough in weight and affordability versus power. These budget-priced high-performance amplifiers are capable of delivering enough wattage to power any mobile sound application, making them great for DJs, bands, entertainers on the go and even small clubs and theaters.

“Our new XLT Series Power Amplifiers are an extremely lightweight and affordable amplifier line that fills an important niche in the pro sound marketplace by offering solutions that end-users have told us they're looking for,” said Tom Freret, National Sales Manager for American Audio. “We are incredibly excited about introducing these groundbreaking products, which can power virtually any mobile sound application yet range in weight from just 13-20 lbs. And they start at a MAP of just $249.99, making them light on the wallet, too.”

All XLT Series Power Amplifier models offer premium features that professionals have come to demand from American Audio products, like a Low Cut Filter, Input Sensitivity Selector, Stereo or Mono Operation, Ground Lift and Front Panel Level LED Meters. Each amplifier in the line comes equipped with two cooling fans, so they'll never overheat, even when operated at maximum capacity.

Below is more information on each model in the XLT Series:

The smallest amp in the XLT Series, the XLT900 Power Amplifier outputs 200 watts of pure, clean power per channel (RMS @ 8 ohms, 1K Hz, 1% THD), making it a perfect solution for gigging bands and mobile DJs who prefer to travel with ultra-compact PA systems. Best of all, the XLT900 weighs just 13 lbs. (5.9kg) and carries an incredibly low MAP of only $249.99, so it won't break your back or your bank account. The XLT900 has a small footprint as well, taking up only four rack spaces and measuring 23.5" long by 18.25" wide by 6.75" high (595 x 460 x 170mm). MAP $249.99

The more powerful and only slightly larger XLT1200 Power Amplifier delivers 310 watts per channel (RMS @ 8 ohms, 1K Hz, 1% THD) and weighs only 15 lbs. (6.8 kg). Suitable for small and medium-size mobile applications, the XLT1200 takes up four rack spaces and measures 23.5" long by 20" wide by 6.75 high (595 x 510 x 170mm). MAP $299.99.

Even greater wattage is available in the XLT2000 Power Amplifier, which outputs 450 watts per channel (RMS @ 8 ohms, 1K Hz, 1% THD) and weighs just 20 lbs. (9.1 kg). Also a four-rack-space unit, the XLT2000 measures 23.5" long by 20" wide by 6.75" high (595 x 510 x 170mm). It's a fantastic source of power for medium and large-size mobile audio setups where lots of volume is required but size and weight play an important a factor. MAP $399.99

Packing the most powerful punch of them all, the XLT2500 Power Amplifier cranks out 600 watts per channel (RMS @ 8 ohms, 1K Hz, 1% THD), making it the perfect power source in even the most demanding audio applications. It has the same weight and dimensions as the XLT2000 — measuring 23.5" by 20" by 6.75" and weighing just 20 lbs. (9.1 kg)— so it's easy to transport despite its enormous output, and it won't take up too much space in your mobile rack. MAP $499.99

Technical specifications of the XLT Series Power Amplifiers include Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 0.1% (20Hz–20kHz @ 8 ohms); Frequency Response of +/–01db (@ rated output power, 8 Ohms, 20Hz–20kHz); and Impedance of 20 ohms balanced/10 ohms unbalanced. Available inputs on all models include ¼" stereo, balanced XLR and RCA, and output options include Speakon and binding post.
