Pangolin's Essential Media Plugins for Virtual DJ takes the DJ Community by Storm

Pangolin's latest plugin for Virtual DJ, called Essential Media, is helping mobile DJ's and VJ's take their Virtual DJ software to the next level.

ORLANDO, Fla – December 10, 2011 – Essential Media, the latest plugin for the Virtual DJ software from SMS software giant Pangolin, has mobile DJ's around the world teeming with excitement, as they are now able to take their existing Virtual DJ software to a whole new level.

Pangolin just recently went public, and announced that the latest version of Essential Media (version 2.03) is ready. Essential Media plays video better than any other plugin for Virtual DJ currently available. In addition, this plugin supports more video types than anything currently available within Virtual DJ, even more than Virtual DJ proper! Essential Media plays SWF and CDG (the most popular files for karaoke) files, and can play those CDG files with transparency, a feature DJ's have been longing for, for some time, but had no answer for up until now.

Using the Essential Media plugin, movies can be sized and positioned according to your desire and it offers users an automated sequential or random playback option. And Essential Media allows for 48 files to be instantly available and you can even save and load in groups of 48 at a time. Essential Media also adds a new camera support feature, which will allow you to use it as a backdrop for the transparent CDG files… So you can shoot the camera at the singer, with the crowd overlaid on top. And furthermore, Essential Media allows users to incorporate cross fades with both video and audio, adding a nice transition when changing from one video to the next.

Essential Media adds the ability to change the output aspect ratio of videos or cameras when your output display is being modified from your computer display. And even more, Essential Media now allows you to adjust the aspect ratio of the videos or camera to a destination output of either 4:3 or 16:9... The plugin is so advanced; it looks at the original aspect ratio of the video or camera and makes adjustments if necessary. Essential Media also has alpha channel support, which is great for overlays, and these alpha channels are defined in the movie itself. Nothing else in Virtual DJ or any existing plugin can currently do this.
