At PALME Middle East, Meyer Sound Sets Sonic Benchmark for AV Integration

On April 26-28 at PALME Middle East, Meyer Sound will introduce some of its newest, most flexible audio technology at stand H20. Learn about the recently introduced MINA line array and CAL column array loudspeakers, as well as the D-Mitri digital audio platform, all of which are designed to give integrators and designers the tools to redefine what is possible in the brave new world of AV integration in the Middle East.

“The unsurpassed demand for high-quality entertainment experiences is providing an exciting opportunity for Meyer Sound systems worldwide,” says Mauricio Saint Martin, director of Middle East sales for Meyer Sound and global sales director for the company's EXP cinema line. “Dubai is home to some of the most adventurous entertainment AV projects, and we're very excited to showcase our offerings at the PALME show.” D-Mitri

Named by the InAVate magazine as the “Most InAVative Non-Loudspeaker Commercial Audio Product,” D-Mitri is a powerful (96 kHz/24-bit conversion with up to 64-bit floating point internal processing), fully integrated network that encompasses digital mixing and matrixing capabilities, sophisticated DSP functions, recording and playback, and integrated show control. D-Mitri is built on the emerging AVB (Audio/Video Bridging) networking standards, which are also implemented in the CAL column array loudspeaker at the stand.

The compact MINA line array loudspeaker features the same intelligible and musical sonic signature as the MILO family, a series of Meyer Sound line array loudspeakers that have been chosen for tours including Céline Dion, Metallica, Usher, and Norah Jones. The MINA measures less than 472 mm wide and only 21.32 kg, yet produces up to 128 dB SPL at one meter with an operating frequency range of 70 Hz to 18 kHz over a 100-degree horizontal coverage area, making it ideal for applications that include smaller theatres, theme parks, and touring theatrical productions.

Other products to be shown at PALME Middle East include the four-inch-square MM-4XP loudspeaker and JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker. To hear Meyer Sound systems in action, show visitors can make a short trip to the record-setting Dubai Fountain and Meydan, the largest racecourse in the world with a capacity of 60,000.
