ATLANTA, GA – Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announces the new high-value, high-performance M-Vision Cine 230. With an MSRP between $6,995 and $7,495, depending on the lens selected, the new M-Vision Cine 230 is equipped with the powerful imaging fidelity of Texas Instruments' DLP® technology. DPI unveiled the exceptionally priced M-Vision Cine 230 during CEDIA Expo 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia, taking place September 23 – 26. The single chip, single lamp M-Vision Cine 230 adds the most affordable 1920 x 1080 precision display to DPI's extensive single chip product line.

Optimized for SMTPE 709 standards, the M-Vision Cine 230 produces 1,000 lumens and 3000:1 native contrast. Engineered specifically to showcase high-definition home entertainment, the Cine 230 is a color-performance-focused home cinema projector. The high lumen output and contrast allow the Cine 230 to thrive in cinemas with screens up to 10' wide, as well as in media rooms with some ambient light and smaller screen sizes. The compact and exceptionally quiet M-Vision chassis, 1080p resolution, integrated electronics and straightforward user interface make the M-Vision Cine 230 a viable solution for home entertainment spaces wanting to maximize performance on a budget.

Sharing the same elegant Cine body design as the existing M-Vision product line, the Cine 230 uses an RGB RGB color wheel which ensures superior color gamut and saturation. Installation is incredibly flexible due to the M-Vision Cine 230's compact and lightweight chassis design, and extraordinary lens shift range of 30% horizontal and 120% vertical. Multiple lens options provide further flexibility, with a throw ratio ranging from 1.25 to 3.0:1. There is also a fixed lens which offers a .73:1 throw ratio. Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs, as well as RGB via D-15, component, composite and S-Video inputs.

George Walter, Digital Projection's Vice President of Home Cinema, commented, “DPI dealers should take special notice of the new M-Vision Cine 230 projector. This important new display delivers exceptional performance at an exceptional price point, making it a powerful, channel-expanding product that can introduce DPI technology to a new tier of home venues.” Walters continued, “Opportunities that would normally pass our product line by due to price sensitivity are now perfectly within our reach. What's more, enthusiasts in the $6,000 price range will now be able to experience the truly exemplary projector performance, technical service and customer support that have helped DPI gain market share year after year.”
