New high-brightness, high-value E-Vision series projectors with Warp, Blend & lens memory revealed

Atlanta, GA (InfoComm 2012) – Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announces a bold expansion of their E-Vision series–the newest platform in DPI's high-brightness, high-value projection line. DPI's new E-Vision 1080p-8000 and E-Vision WUXGA 8000 introduce advanced display features such as integrated image Warp & Blend, Lens Memory and advanced resolution options to the E-Vision series. Additionally, the new models deliver higher brightness capabilities, producing up to 8,000 lumens of illumination. With numerous lens options, user swappable color wheels and advanced color controls, the DLP®-driven E-Vision 1080p-8000 and WUXGA-8000 continue DPI's legacy of creating powerful, capable and efficient displays suited to serve a diversity of applications, including houses of worship, professional AV, entertainment and simulation. Both of the new E-Vision displays will commence shipping in Q2.

The E-Vision 1080p-8000 and E-Vision WUXGA 8000 bring a bold expansion of DPI's high-value, high-brightness E-Vision series. With advanced features such as Warp & Blend and lens memory, the new 8,000 lumen E-Vision 8000 displays contain future-focused technology that ensures the projectors will serve as flexible application solutions for years to come. Weighing in at less than 53 lbs., the dual-lamp E-Vision 8000 displays utilize the latest in Texas Instruments' dark metal DLPâ„¢ technology. Robustly built and highly capable, the E-Vision 8000 projectors present compelling imaging solutions for lecture halls, conference venues, houses of worship, corporate auditoriums and boardrooms, digital signage, and any other application needing bright, accurate imagery at remarkably accessible price points.

Announced as a complement to the existing E-Vision WXGA 600 / E-Vision WXGA 7000 displays, originally introduced at InfoComm 2011, the new E-Vision 1080p-8000 and E-Vision WUXGA 8000 allow DPI's integrators to select the optimal E-Vision for their application based on price, capability and resolution. A year of steady success in high ambient light commercial venues and houses of worship ensures the newly-launched models will continue the expansion of the E-Vision series throughout a wide variety of large screen applications.

A variety of fixed and zoom lens options give the E-Vision 1080p-8000 and E-Vision WUXGA 8000 a flexible throw ratio range of .76:1 – 8.26:1. Two swappable color wheels allow the integrator or the end user to easily select and install the color wheel that provides the best balance of lumens and color depth to complement their application objectives and venue lighting conditions. With MSRP's starting at $13,995, plus lens, the 8,000 lumen E-Vision 8000 series projectors are priced to support a wide array of conservative AV budgets.

DPI will be demonstrating the new E-Vision series displays, as well as numerous other new single-chip and 3-chip precision projectors, throughout a completely reconfigured 60' x 50' booth (#N941) at InfoComm 2012 from June 13 - 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
