LMG Touring Rides on Train's North American Tour

lmg-touring_train.jpgOrlando, Fla. –Promoting a newly released album, Save Me, San Francisco, Train has contracted with LMG Touring to provide video, audio and lighting support for their North American tour, which kicked off this fall and runs through December. The tour is appearing in cities across the United States, including Austin, Orlando, Portland, New York, Boston, Baltimore, Atlanta, and New Orleans.

LMG is supplying a full audio control package for the tour, including two custom built touring rigs built around Digidesign VENUE Profile consoles. Each mix zone includes integrated mini-computers equipped with Pro Tools, I-Tunes, SMAART software, and system control software. The Monitor system uses L'Acoustics 115XT, DV-subs, and ARCS speakers, and takes full advantage of the Digidesign PQ control system.

LMG Touring's engineering team also outfitted a compact, integrated system for the lighting and video elements of the tour, designed into one unique package that controls projection, cameras, and a digital disk recorder, using the grandMA lighting console. “This system allows the lighting technician the ability to switch multiple sources of video for the show, directly from the lighting console, in addition to controlling the moving lights and LED,” says Steve McCale, director of touring at LMG.

LMG lighting and video package includes Martin MAC 700's, Martin VLX LED fixtures, Colorblast LED's, High End System's DL-3's, screens, lipstick cameras, and truss.

Steve McCale comments, “Our goal was to provide Train with a turnkey solution that would meet all their audio, video and lighting needs, wrapped into a compact, easy-to-use touring package to offer maximum flexibility.”

LMG Touring, a division of LMG, Inc., provides state-of the art systems that integrate sound, lighting, video, and satellite-based Internet connectivity. By capitalizing on LMG's vast experience in integrated solutions, artists can put on spectacular shows while producing lucrative high definition live recordings, Webcasts, videos, artist chats, and more.
