Lights, LEDs and long legs: Slovak TV show “Cat Girl” relied on grandMA

CatWith the TV show Cat Girl 2008 Slovakia was recently searching for its most “sexiest” woman. The show in the Expo Arena in Bratislava which was broadcasted live on the TV channel TV Markiza was controlled by a grandMA system solution consisting of 1 x grandMA full-size, 2 x grandMA light, 5 x MA media PCs with the grandMA video media server software, 3 x MA NSP and 7 x MA Digital Dimmer 12 x 2,3kW.

Lighting Designer Martin Kubánka explained his choice: “This TV show was really demanding. We had to synchronise lighting and video which could be done via the grandMA in a very easy and powerful way. As a system solution as well as stand alone products the MA components are unbeatable.“

54 x Schnick-Schnack-Systems' LED-C100 panels, which are distributed by MA Lighting, were used as video screens. They were controlled via the Pixel Mapper of the grandMA video software.

Michal Schmidt worked as Programmer, Vladimir Durcanský as Camera Director. Director for the show was Karol Vosátko. Thomas Lecký was the Video Operator. The show was realised by Q-99 Sound & Light.

A.C.T Lighting is the exclusive North American distributor for the grandMA. A.C.T Lighting can be reached at 818-707-0884 or www.actlighting.com.
