Lighting Technology Projects Hosts Philips Lighting Day

pai-philips-lighting-day-phi231723377.jpgLighting Technology Projects, part of the PAI Group, recently hosted an event at the groups Llanelli HQ to highlight the breadth and dynamics of the Philips' Solid State Lighting (SSL) and Vidiwall Systems products, for which Lighting Technology Projects (LTP) is a Value Added Reseller, offering turnkey project solutions and full service support.

Over 60 invitees attended from all sectors of the professional entertainment and leisure industry. They included architects, lighting and visual designers, project managers, specifiers and end clients of all types.

Products included the latest Philips' Vidiwall indoor and outdoor LED display solutions for the sports, leisure and retail industries – specifically the Candeo and Delta LED walls.

Philips' marketing and Communications Manager explains that they are very keen to offer a hands-on experience of using LED in a customer's own working environment, enabling people to see the benefits of using this innovative technology in situ.

A comprehensive selection from Philips' range of RGB and intelligent white LED lighting products, i.e. LEDLine, were also available for close up examination. This has been augmented with the acquisition of Color Kinetics range of which there were many examples, including the new ColorReach & Graze Powercore fixtures, the LED Line, LED Flood and BeamerLEDs.

The ColorReach was used to highlight various objects in the surrounding environment including electricity pylons and the PAI building itself. It is a high-performance architectural floodlight, with the brightness and dynamics to illuminate large-scale façades and structures. With a significantly higher lumen output than any other competitive fixture, and projecting over 300ft, this is the next generation in exterior illumination.

The extraordinarily high 80% turnout to the event was testament to the intense interest in this technology and how seriously it's taken by PAI's key clients and contacts. They have received lots of positive feedback from attendees, and it also proved a very social atmosphere and great opportunity for people to chat and cross reference ideas, experiences and projects.

It also further cemented the close working relationship between LTP and Philips.
