John Cooper School Chooses Digital Projection's TITAN for New Performing Arts Center

ATLANTA, GA (February 16, 2009) - The John Cooper School, a college preparatory school in The Woodlands, Texas, recently unveiled their brand-new Performing Arts Center that uses a Digital Projection TITAN 1080p-500 for video and presentation content. The TITAN is one aspect of a robust audio and video environment that took over two years of planning and integration to bring to fruition.
The TITAN 1080p-500 works in conjunction with a 12' X 21.5' Stewart Filmscreen Grayhawk RS, an innovative front projection screen surface designed to maximize the performance of today's 1080p technology to deliver precise, high contrast imagery. Video for both education and entertainment purposes, presentations and imagery accents for performances are just a few examples of the content that will be shown. Due to the wide array of PC ports installed both on stage and throughout the front, back and sides of the Center, multimedia presentations can be run from almost any location.
Bill Schuermann, Senior Design Consultant at HFP Acoustical Consultants Inc., chose the TITAN 1080p-500 due to “how cost effective, reliable and durable the TITAN is while outperforming other large-venue projectors in the industry.” According to Schuermann, “the technology coordinator at the John Cooper School is continually finding new ways to apply the projector's many abilities.” HFP Acoustical Consultants worked in conjunction with Morris Architects and Bill Conner Associates, Brookstone, LP and LD Systems over a two-year period to complete the Performance Arts Center.
An impressive performance schedule is already underway in the new Performing Arts Center. Seussical, the first full-scale performance to take place in the PAC, incorporates many of the characters of the beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss. Thousands of attendees were entertained over the course of numerous productions, and the Performing Arts Center's flagship presentation was considered a resounding success.
