jason-aldean-2011.jpgJason Aldean is officially a superstar, a 10-year overnight sensation! Under the guidance of manager Clarence Spalding, Jason Aldean has been selling out coast-to-coast and sweeping awards shows regularly. Aldean just won a record 6 American Country Awards, including Single of the Year, Album of the Year, and the Holy Grail of live shows, Touring Artist of the Year. Bandit Lites is very proud to have been part of the Aldean family since the start. Lighting designer Aaron Swetland has continued to craft his art as the shows and lighting systems have grown geometrically through the years. Swetland is now a true rising superstar in the lighting design sphere, and his stunning work on Aldean is nothing short of spectacular.

The My Kinda Party Tour has been setting records throughout 2011, and it continues into 2012. The album is Platinum and Aldean is currently on top of the country and pop charts with the smash hit “Don't You Wanna Stay” with Kelly Clarkson. For 2012, Swetland has utilized a great number of different technologies to help Aldean shine each night. His arsenal includes Martin MAC III's, MAC 2K Washes, VL 3000 Spots, VL 3500 Washes, Showguns, Clay Paky Sharpies, GLP Volkslicht's, Coemar I Wash LED's, Bandit 5x5 Blinders, GRN Battens, GRN Washes, GRN PARs, and Atomic Strobes. Tyler Green Truss is utilized for rapid deployment of the system, and Grand MA Consoles are the control surface of choice for Aaron.

Swetland uses moving trusses with video panels attached to achieve multiple looks out of a single system. Each song has a unique look as the trusses morph into a variety of heights and angles. The integration of video and illumination is a key element of Swetland's concept. Jason Aldean has as high energy of a show as there is in the business. Do not think for a moment that because Aldean is a country artist that there are not rock roots to his music. Swetland has captured the spirit and essence of every tune and leaves all the emotion on the stage by the end of the evening. When you leave a Jason Aldean event, the work of Aaron Swetland will be as impressive as the music of Aldean. It is an artistic marriage made in heaven!

Bandit Lites VP Michael Golden has worked with Aldean since the beginning and values the relationship. “Jason, Clarence and Aaron are some of the finest people in the industry and working with this very professional organization is what we dream about at Bandit. Tour manager Tim McCormick, stage manager John Fritz and stage manager Josh Marcus keep the show rolling every day. We look forward to a long ride with Jason.”
