International Human Beatbox Sensation fii Takes HARMAN's AKG WMS 4500 Wireless System To The Global Stage

akg_fii.jpgVIENNA, Austria – Armed with a custom-painted flash/neon/lime green HARMAN AKG D5 microphone, vocal percussion sensation and native Austrian fii takes the stage around the world with his a cappella beat boxing show, wowing audiences with his beats, harmonies, singing and rapping transmitted through an AKG WMS 4500 wireless system. Expressing his love for the art of music, fii's unrestricted genre of performance, through multiple channels of looped vocals, is never distorted and sounds perfectly natural with AKG.

With a fascination in music from the age of six, fii began his musical journey with classical music, moving on to metal, hardcore rap and eventually making his way to a cappella – an art that seemed instinctive for the talented performer. On stage, fii utilizes a looper and the green D5 to capture 10-12 parts of a song before he takes on the melody. Each part must blend perfectly to ensure the sound is portrayed exactly how the artist envisions.

“In my mind, all music is the same, in terms of expressing feelings and emotion,” said fii. “Whether it's Tchaikovsky or hardcore metal, the passion an artist expresses is the true art. When I perform, it's all or nothing. The high definition D5 sounds like a condenser, but still has all of the characteristics of an amazing dynamic. There is only mic for me – my green D5!”

fii uses no effects in his live shows or albums, (minus some slight compression and EQ) so it is imperative the microphone capturing the rhythms and the signal carrying his voice provide high definition sound to enhance his performance.

“fii is another example of the diversity and reliability AKG microphones offer the dynamic music industry,” stated Joe Wagoner, product marketing manager for wireless, tour and install, AKG. “When an artist is so in tune with their sound, they understand the slight variances in wireless systems, which separates AKG and reinforces our position as a leader in wireless technology. We are happy to welcome fii to the HARMAN family and wish him the best with his custom green D5.”

“AKG has a very natural sound,” fii continued. “When I was first introduced to the brand in 2008, there was no doubt I had to use it. I had issues with other wireless systems and microphones not defining those fine lines between each part on my loops; there was a lack of powerful sound. I only use one channel and my wireless system needs to be able to support me so I can reach my full potential. The WMS 4500 gives me confidence in my performance's sound.”

The lime green-wearing fii has an equally passionate love for music as he does for the custom D5. “I am so proud to have a mic that lets me express my music, as well as my personality,” said fii.
