Interested in Projection?

With projection sweeping though the live production industry like wildfire—from concerts to Broadway and beyond, it is more and more rare to see a production without some kind of video or other projected imagery. That's why Live Design is producing the third annual Projection Master Classes at LDI, October 21-23 in Las Vegas. And if you are interested in projection, you should really meet us there! We'll all be going to see a performance of Cirque du Soleil's newest resident show in Las Vegas, CRISS ANGEL Believe, followed by a reception in the themed lobby. Then the next two days are devoted to projection design and technology, with a great line-up of speakers, from our creative consultant Bob Bonniol of MODE Studios and Cal Arts, who will discuss his work on Journey, Boston Pops "metal messiah" and other recent projects along with his ace programmer Sean Cagney. Designer extraordinaire Bruce Rodgers of Tribe will do a case study on two of his recent projects: the Rascal Flatts tour and the Democratic National Convention. The roster also includes Vello Virkaus of V Squared Labs who provided content for the Police tour as well as clubs like the new Rok Vegas; DJ Robb Pope of dijital ambiance who has invented his own media playback system; plus industry pros such as Nigel Sadler of Green Hippo, maker of the Hippotizer media server, Steve Gilbard of coolux and Pandoras Box, Josh Weisberg and John Ackerman of Scharff Weisberg, and Nils Thorgussen of Element Labs to show off their cool new LED options. Not to mention folks from Barco, PRG, TMB, and Enttec. It will be a very full two days. For complete details and online registration information click here. We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas.
