HUGHIES A/V SERVICES PURCHASE NEXO GEO T LINE ARRAY, YAMAHA PM5D-RH and T5n Amps

the-fest-2008-nexo-geo-t.jpgCLEVELAND, Ohio─ Hughie's Audio Visual Services, Inc. (Cleveland, Oh.) recently purchased a NEXO GEO T line array, Yamaha PM5D-RH digital console and 16 Yamaha T5n amplifiers to service their corporate and concert production clients. “The new NEXO GEO T system enhances our company's full production services. It compliments our Total Structures 105' x 45' rated roof system and our complete line of intelligent and static lights,” states Dave Taybi, Director of Sound Services. “The GEO T also compliments the 6 other roof sizes we own for any size event.” The company, which employs around 50 full time staff, is spearheaded by President, Dave Wheeler. With two additional locations in Columbus, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pa., the Hughie's team handles production and rentals of audio, video, lighting and staging, and full decorative equipment for all types of events.

The new NEXO GEO T system includes 24 boxes, 12 CD18s and four NX242 processors. Four EtherSound cards have been added to support the company's GEO S system. “Since we already own a GEO S system, the GEO T was a natural fit for us,” says Taybi. “The T sounds great, is easy to use and widely accepted, and since we were already familiar with NEXO products and the reliable support behind it, the implementation was very easy.” Taybi says the purchase of the Yamaha PM5D-RH console was a natural fit with the GEO T system. “The Tn amps are lightweight and powerful.”

The company recently provided the NEXO GEO T rig, Yamaha PM5D and T5n amps in support of “The Fest 2008”, Northeast Ohio's largest free Christian festival, which ushered in 27,000+ people to Wickliffe, Ohio. Performers included Willy Cleary, North Davenport, Brooke Barrettsmith, Nevertheless, Stellar Kart, Matt Maher, Lee Roessler Band and Jeremy Camp.

Hughie's has also provided production support for events at Carnegie Hall (REO SpeedWagon), Columbus Ohio's Crew Stadium (Hawk Nelson), Ohio State University's Welcome Week (The Roots & Billy Currington), and the University of Pittsburgh's Fall Fest (Motion City Soundtrack & Saves the Day), plus the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign (various locations).
