Hitachi Means Business at InfoComm 2011

ORLANDO, Florida, June 15, 2011 — At InfoComm 2011, Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division, Business Solutions Group is showcasing a variety of 3LCD projectors that are ideal for business environments, highlighting the company's commitment to the corporate market, while maintaining its leadership position in the education and house of worship markets.

Hitachi will be introducing a new interactive projector, boasting all the functionality of an interactive whiteboard along with Hitachi's industry-leading projector technology, eliminating the need for additional hardware. This interactive projector is ideal for business applications, offering easy setup even in rooms where space is limited, with an ultra-short-throw lens that enables it to be mounted close to a wall or projection surface. This prevents obstructed images and shadows, with no light shining in the presenter's eyes. The user can write, draw, and manipulate and resize projected images by using Hitachi's pen-sized Interactive Control. Users can also save, print and email projected images.

In the Networking area of the InfoComm 2011 booth, Hitachi will also be showing its CP-X2514WN, which is ideal for use in medium-size classrooms and boardrooms, the CP-X2514WN delivers 2,700 ANSI lumens brightness with XGA resolution and a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and offers a host of useful performance and convenience features.

The CP-X2514WN's optional wireless capability enables a laptop or desktop computer to be connected to the projector without cables, making it much easier to start presentations and lessons and eliminating the need to place the computer close to the projector. Up to four computers can be connected to the projector at the same time and display their images simultaneously.

The CP-X2514WN features Crestron RoomViewâ„¢ software, providing a custom configurable interface to monitor, manage and control every device in every room remotely from any computer. Built-in network connectivity provides instant status and remote technical support so a presentation is never interrupted.

Hitachi is also providing a throw distance comparison featuring its Short Throw and Ultra Short Throw Series projectors. On display in other areas of the Hitachi booth are projectors from Hitachi's Full HD, Collegiate and Professional Series.
