Guest Blogger, Ted Pallas, Broadway Sound Master Classes

Hi everybody! This is my second year here at the Broadway Sound Master Class, and so far it's been great (though it's only been three hours). Darron L. West just gave a talk on process and collaboration, a topic that seems to usually go undiscussed at these kind of events. I'm the kind of designer that's not too worried about hardware. I'll get what my budget can afford, which is usually an SM-58, a Mackie, and two old speakers that were born before I was. All of the neat hardware I see and big systems that are discussed at these kind of events are definitely neat, but it's hard to really walk away and use that information. I'm really glad to see Live Design doing everything they can to make sure that the sessions are as diverse as the attendees.
