April 13 kicked off the Guggenheim Museum's three-part concert series, Divine Ricochet, produced by Bronwyn Keenan, Director of Special Events and Sam Brumbaugh, Special Events Consultant, in conjunction with the exhibition of the late sculptor John Chamberlain in “John Chamberlain: Choices.” production glue was there to make sure all was seen and heard.
The first night featured Brooklyn's Julianna Barwick and Portland-based href="http://grouper.bandcamp.com/">Grouper. Julianna's voice echoed vibrantly through the Rotunda and, after a quick break, the audience welcomed Grouper to the stage who composed a custom piece for Divine Ricochet.
April 27 brought Cold Cave's frontmen, Wesley Eisold and Dominick Fernow. The performance was enhanced by new Trackspot Bolt lighting fixtures made by High End Systems. glue coordinated with Cold Cave's Lighting Designer, Christopher Bryant, and was responsible for acquiring and installing all lighting.
Last night, and the final night of the concert series, featured Zola Jesus and composer J.G. Thirwell accompanied by The Mivos Quartet. The performance was complemented by video projection by Jacqueline Castel, an artist and friend of Zola Jesus. glue assisted with the technical implementation of four video projectors to create an entrancing, moving backdrop.
