Electrosonic's AV Expertise Showcased In Four Amusements/Attractions Granted TEA THEA Awards In '08

Electrosonic, a major player in system design and integration for audio, video and show control systems for the themed attraction arena, takes great pride in its involvement with four TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) 15th Annual Thea Award-winning projects.

Announced at the IAAPA Expo (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions), these coveted awards are bestowed upon projects of design and execution excellence in the exhibit, attraction, experience and themed entertainment markets.

With much credit going to Electrosonic's notable A/V prowess, the Thea awards went to The Simpsons Ride, Newseum, Jungala Busch Gardens, and Tree of Prosperity at theWynn Casino Macau.

(Attraction) - The Simpsons Ride, Universal Studios, Hollywood CA & Orlando FL:

Spanning ride simulation experiences inspired by characters, locales and storylines of the show (and presented via digitally projected computer animation), these rides utilize Electrosonics's precision expertise in optics and projection system setup and execution.

(Museum) - Newseum, Washington DC, USA:

This interactive museum of news and journalism presents its offerings in formats such as panoramic, multi-screen/interactive, large and small theatrics, 4D, do-it-yourself telecasting and reproductions of daily newspapers' front pages. Electrosonic's participation included meeting the audio, video and audiovisual challenges posed by a massive architectural envelope with open, light-filled spaces. And the Leononore Annenberg Theater with it s 4D experience and its 57 by 25 foot curved screen.

(New Theme Park Land) - Jungala Busch Gardens, Tampa FL, USA:

Set in the Congo area, this 4-acre attraction invites guests to explore wonders of the jungle and its inhabitants. Rides, interactions, live entertainment, food and shopping amuse and intrigue. Electrosonic made its contributions with a comprehensive media package that serves to enhance engagement with vivid, authenticated sight-and-sound.

(Casino Attraction) - Tree of Prosperity, Wynn Casino, Macau, SAR, China:

Making regular appearances in a show flanking gamers and non-gamers alike, this gold and brass leaf tree (descending from a 70-foot ceiling dome) features the 12 symbols of the Chinese zodiac, and inspires gamblers to shower it with money in hopes of slot-and-table return on investment. Electrosonic was the systems engineering and integration company for this project and made provisions for the LED video screen (showing a dramatic production) that splits in two to clear the way for a descending chandelier that activates the dome to reveal the gigantic, uber-luminous tree.

Says Electrosonic's senior marketing manager Ramzi Shakra: "We are delighted to have had a hand in enhancing these TEA Thea Award-winning attractions with flavor and life. Our seasoned technicians and honed engineers deserve recognition for their time, efforts and painstaking attention to detail. We look forward to continued service of the theme park/attraction sector."

The Thea Awards will be formally presented March 7th, 2009 at the 15th Annual Thea Awards Gala at Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, California.
