LOS ANGELES – Elation Professional's Design Spot 1200C and Design Beam 1200C DMX moving heads are compact lights, but they've earned a large following among lighting designers, thanks to their big list of features and remarkably reliable performance. Now they've just earned something else too -- cETLus approval for the United States and Canada, ensuring they comply with UL standardsand can therefore be specified in permanent installations and other applications where electrical approval is required.

A quick look at the Design Spot 1200C provides a good insight into why Loader is so excited. A hybrid spot/wash fixture with a 1200-watt Philips MSR1200 Gold lamp, the compact Design Spot 1200C takes up about as much space as a typical 700-watt fixture, even though it produces 71% more light. It comes with a built-in variable frost filter and a variable zoom of 16° to 41°, as well as a built-in Elation EWDMX wireless DMX receiver. The unit offers CMY color mixing; variable CTO; 8 static/replaceable dichroic colors including CTB and UV; a gobo wheel with 12 rotating/indexing gobos; a separate animation effects wheel; two rotating/indexing prism effects; a motorized iris; a linear dimmer (0-100%); and motorized focus.
The Design Beam 1200C is an intelligent 1200-watt compact hybrid spot, wash and beam projector that's capable of covering the largest of stages and arenas. It features CMY color mixing plus variable CTO and EWDMX built-in wireless DMX receiver. This versatile fixture is equipped with 8 static/replaceable dichroic filters including CTB and UV and two gobo wheels. Gobo Wheel One contains 6 rotating, indexing replaceable gobos, and Gobo Wheel Two contains 7 static replaceable gobos, plus much more.
