d&b's T- Series will tickle the taste buds at this year's InfoComm

A two in one technology from d&b audiotechnik will tickle the taste buds at this year's InfoComm exhibition on booth number 6909 and in demo room W204A. The special design of this innovative new T-Series offers two different loudspeaker technologies in one package. It delivers an impressive performance as d&b's smallest line array and effortlessly transforms into a stand-alone point source system providing remarkable economy of scale.

The T10 loudspeaker is a uniquely versatile product and its ability to be both a line source and point source system provides an unprecedented range of options from the one system. It is a passive 2-way design that houses two 6.5" neodymium LF drivers positioned in a dipolar arrangement and a 1.4" exit HF compression driver that is fitted to a unique waveguide horn. This produces vertical line source directivity with a 90° horizontal pattern that is maintained down to approximately 600 Hz. An acoustic lens placed in front of the horn widens horizontal dispersion to 105°; rotation of the horn by 90° relative to this produces an accurate point source dispersion transforming a vertically oriented T10 into a stand-alone full range loudspeaker with 90° horizontal and 35° vertical directivity pattern. The horn can easily be rotated from the outside of the loudspeaker without tools or removing the front grill. This is achieved through apertures in the cabinet sides allowing rotation to both the line and point source positions. The T-SUB shares the same width and integrated rigging fittings as the T10 for deployment either flown at the top of a T10 array, in a separate column or it can also be ground stacked. The bass-reflex design utilizes a high excursion 15" driver with a neodymium magnet assembly and the system can be driven by either the d&b D6 or D12 dual channel amplifiers providing two different power ranges. When driven by the D12 amplifier the T-SUB is able to employ d&b SenseDrive technology.

You can find out all about the T-Series on d&b's stand and listen to the remarkable T10 point source and line source loudspeaker in demo room W204A which is just a line array's throw from our main booth 6909. The future's bright and fuTure has a T in it.
