Coemar Infinity Wash XL Lights Toast Michael Buble At Madison Square Garden

It's indisputable...Coemar Infinity Wash XL and ACL lights imparted spunk and spirit to Canadian star-songster Michael Buble's strong sellout at Madison Square Garden on December 5th, 2008.

The riveting close to Buble's 40-country '07-'08 "Call Me Irresponsible" world tour drew from Coemar's Infinity Wash XL line of rugged, dependable lights to spruce the sparkling space up for Buble's velvet vocals.

Proudly deeming the Garden one of his home-away-from-homes, lighting designer Tom Kenny once again collaborated with director Dick Caruthers, , to deliver an edgy and artful look to the garden. Bublé's veteran A-list management team of Bruce Allen and Randy Berswick , along with Carruthers and Warner Music Group Long-form Home Video supervisor John Beug, wanted a look and feel that was "not your normal DVD shoot." They also," says Kenny, "wanted MSG to feel comfortable for the audience at this last show of the tour."

And so, Kenny got together with gaffer Dave Hunkins and BML-Blackbird Theatrical Services' Bob Looney and designed a TV package that would fall into place with lighting director Kurt Wagner's, and Buble's production team's, way of doing things.

Kenny put 66 Coemar Infinity Wash XLs to work in order to "light the massive audience and give the place a vibe. I'd used other lights at the same height last year," he explains, "but they didn't have the guts to cut through at 60 foot trims." Thus, for this show, the Infinitys afforded a taste of the extraordinary to a buoyant, bubbly crowd.

Coemar's Infinity Wash XL is an extremely bright, automated moving head washlight that incorporates the revolutionary CMY-s color mixing system with new saturation mode (patented), a color wheel with 5 colors + white, and a proportional CTO filter. A radical zoom range (proportional from 5 to 84 degrees), effects (Multicolor, Moon Flower, Beam'o) and beam shaping device (360 degrees indexable) are included. Full-range dimming, synchronized or random strobe effect, electronic zap strobe and black-out are also featured.

Infinity Wash XL lights wouldn't sell over-twenty-million-albums-solid, GRAMMY award-winner Michael Bublé flat, as he deserves only the premium finest the house could bestow.

"The Infinitys' sharpness and firepower," beams Kenny, "gave the whole of Madison Square Garden a glow of lush color and effects for every number. The show went without a hitch and looked gorgeous, both in the room and on film. To Coemar...with thanks!"

Cheese film & video's Dick Carruthers provided "extremely cool and sophisticated direction." Tyler Littman helped stylize looks for the "hottest live ticket in N.Y.C.". Dave Wright, Jimmy Delayo and Dan McDonagh lent support. Buble's production team was headed by Dean Roney.
