Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – More than 50 CHAUVET® fixtures illuminated the inauguration of New Faces of Hollywood, the first TV and motion picture studio complex in the Fort Lauderdale area. The event also launched the “Buy One, Give One…Let Haiti Drink” campaign in collaboration with IPO Real Medical Group, aiming at bring clean drinking water to Haiti.

Six COLORadoâ„¢ 1 VW and four COLORadoâ„¢ 1 VW Tour wash lights welcomed the VIPs walking the red carpet, which led to a white tent erected outside the studio. VIPs like legendary Haitian singer Carole Dememsin, football player Antonio Robinson, actor Isaiah Washington and Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler mingled with more than 100 guests.

The all-white landscape changed colors under the beautiful washes from 30 COLORadoâ„¢ wash fixtures. Throughout the open space webs of clear film spread from the floor to the ceiling to represent brain synapses. Four freelance artists collaborated to design the space, their vision: a cross between brain synapses and coral reefs.

From the pipe, an assortment of wash lights— eight COLORadoâ„¢ Panel, six COLORadoâ„¢ 1 Tri IP, five COLORadoâ„¢ 2 IP, five COLORadoâ„¢ 2 Tour, five COLORadoâ„¢ 3 IP and one COLORadoâ„¢ 1 Tour—downlit the interior of the building, including the predominantly white stage and bar. Barbizon Lighting Company specified and programmed the lights in more than 50 looks.

On each side of the entrance, two COLORadoâ„¢ Batten 72 Tour fixtures uplit webs of clear film, which changed texture and gave different mesmerizing looks each time the battens projected different colors.

Three moving heads—Q-Spotâ„¢ 260 LED, Q-Washâ„¢ 260-LED and Q-Beamâ„¢ 260 LED —lit the band and the keynote speakers from a truss mounted above the stage. New Faces of Hollywood Alliance CEO Michael Pendleton envisioned the design for the inauguration as a mixture of urban and contemporary feel combined with the grit of the space. "The lighting allowed us to capture the space. We wanted to light different areas, to have different textures, and I think it was successfully achieved,” Pendleton said.
