MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Three
COLORadoâ„¢ Batten 72 linear wash lights played part in a one-of-a-kind promotional event, lighting a DJ booth suspended over Miami Beach from a helicopter.
DJ D Nice ran the 12-minute show, an advertisement for Hennessy Black, which was designed by Neptune Productions, a special event technical services production company based in Los Angeles.
Lighting designer for the event Raffi Ganoumian, who specified the COLORadoâ„¢ Batten 72 fixtures, said an important decision factor was the weight of the fixtures and the power consumption. Next to the CHAUVET® lights, the booth was lit with eight MAC 301 Washâ„¢ fixtures.
“We picked the COLORadoâ„¢ Batten 72 because of the output and the way they look,” Ganoumian said. “We needed lights that were lightweight and didn't consume much. We had to consider the weight of the booth and the fact that we ran everything on a little generator.”
