CHAUVET® COLORadoâ„¢ Brings Fashion Show to Light

Denver, Colo. – Thirty-two COLORadoâ„¢ 1 Tour wash lights were used to light a recent event called “Be Beautiful, Be Yourselfâ„¢ Jet Set Fashion Show 2010”, which benefited Global Down Syndrome Foundation. The event was a fashion show, auction and dinner with noted guests, like music legend Quincy Jones, actor Jamie Foxx, "Survivor" host Jeff Probst, Miss Colorado Melaina Shipwash.

The event was held at Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center and was produced by Rob Schenk, president and founder of Line Level ShowTek. The evening honored three people: Special Olympics Chairman and CEO, Timothy P. Shriver, Ph. D., received the 2010 Quincy Jones Award; DeOndra Dixon, sister to Jamie Foxx and 2009 recipient of the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award; Karen Gaffney, a champion swimmer and the 2010 recipient of the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award.

COLORadoâ„¢ 1 Tour wash lights lit over 160 feet of truss, the stage and runway. Models from Saks Fifth Avenue as well as children with Down syndrome served as models during the fashion show. The television show Entertainment Tonight covered the event. Line Level ShowTek produces shows which are to be filmed and used on broadcast television. The LED COLORadoâ„¢ 1 Tour wash lights were chosen because they do not flicker on camera. The production company has doubled their inventory of the fixture citing their brilliant output.

“Time and time again, the CHAUVET® COLORadoâ„¢ LED fixtures continue to raise the bar in LED lighting,” said Paul Kocel, owner of Soul Fuel Music also of Denver, Colo., who supplied the fixtures. “They shine brighter, use less energy, offer more options and are overall the best value in professional LED lighting on the market today. We are proud to offer them to all our clients. They never leave us in the dark!"
