Keeping true to their commitment to go Green, Bandit Lites has purchased a large inventory of new LED fixtures.
World-renowned designer Marc Brickman chose the new Vari-Lite VLX for the current Keith Urban tour. Bandit is pleased to invest in these phenomenal fixtures. Lighting director Nate Alves is thrilled with the addition of these units as well as the new Clay Paky Sharpys, also specified by Brickman. While not a true “green” fixture, the Sharpy is energy efficient and packs a tremendous punch for such low power consumption.
Designer Paul Holst is using the Martin MAC 101 on Owl City, as well as several GRNLite products, and the result is nothing short of spectacular. Bandit welcomes these fine fixtures into its' inventory.
Designer to the stars Seth Jackson has specified the new GLP Volkslicht LED fixture for the current Selena tour, which is selling out in every market. Seth and lighting director Brian Jenkins were very impressed with the GLP product and look forward to using them on other projects.
Bandit also purchased several I-Pix BB4's to complement the inventory of BB7's already on hand. In addition, the inventory of GRNLite PARs, Moving Washes, Battens, Washes and 8 Light Units was doubled this summer, as demand is through the roof.
Long time Neil Young designer Keith Wissmar took out an entire GRN system for the Buffalo Springfield Reunion run in June. Keith went old school with all fixtures ground supported, using GRN PARs, GRN Washes and GRN Battens. The result was a very vivid, elegant, saturated vibe that matched this magical reunion.
Jackson Browne LD Steve Comer in conjunction with Dennis Scrimo and Cree and Buddha Miller delivered the Concert for Civility in Tucson, as a fundraiser in response to the tragic shooting that occurred there. Jackson Browne, Alice Cooper, David Crosby & Graham Nash, Sam Moore, Nils Lofgren, Keb' Mo', Jennifer Warnes, Jerry Riopelle, Dar Williams, Ozomatli, and Calexico all appeared in this star studded evening. Bandit delivered an all GRN system with GRN PARs, GRN 8 Lights and GRN Moving Washes. Most of the artists on the bill have long been known for their environmental awareness and this evening was a manifestation of that drive.
The move to be the industry's premier LED source continues as most all the tours out with Bandit contain some level of LED technology.
