AVIOM CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF INNOVATION

ORLANDO, FL, JUNE 15, 2011—This year Aviom (InfoComm booth 415) marks its 10th year of creating reliable, high-fidelity digital audio solutions. With the development of A-Net® in 2001, Aviom introduced a digital audio protocol that not only made it possible to drive the world's first practical digital personal mixing solution but a technology that would fundamentally change the nature of digital audio distribution. In the 10 years since, Aviom has continued to refine its personal mixers and the Pro16® Series of digital audio distribution products and has developed the second generation of A-Net and the Pro64® Series of audio networking products. The company is now celebrating over 100,000 personal mixers sold, along with the introduction of its newest innovation, the AllFrame Multi-Modular I/O System.

The landmark A-Net, technology that Aviom introduced in 2001, helped to power the company's first product, the A-16 Personal Mixer, which debuted in 2002 and quickly became the industry's standard for personal mixing solutions for applications such as Broadway, houses of worship and production and recording studios. Artists such as Aerosmith, James Taylor, Michael Bublé and Linkin' Park have all chosen Aviom Personal Mixers to solve their monitor or cue mixing needs. What's more, churches around the world have adopted the Aviom technology as a means of lowering stage volume and improving clarity in the sanctuary. Even Hollywood has discovered how valuable the Aviom Personal Mixer can be when used as a production tool on the sets of reality television shows.

Since then, Aviom has added to its range of personal mixing offerings with the A-16R Rack-mount Personal Mixer and its A-16CS Control Surface, optimized for users of wireless in-ear monitors; the A-16II Personal Mixer, with a host of hardware and software refinements; the Y1 A-Net Card for Yamaha digital consoles; the A-16D and A-16D Pro A-Net Distributors and a number of mounting accessories. Over the years, Aviom has continued to work with leading digital console manufacturers to integrate A-Net connectivity to help streamline the connection to Aviom Personal Mixers.

Aviom's president and CEO, Carl Bader, explains, “Aviom has become the industry standard in personal mixing because the design of the Personal Mixer makes it easy for anyone to use and because we have continued to refine the product family and the technology over the years.”

While Aviom is best known for setting the industry standard with the company's personal mixing system, it has also been a leader in distributing audio over Cat-5. Its Pro16 Series of digital snake components and Pro64 Series of audio networking products have proven to offer high fidelity, flexible and yet simple solutions for creating digital audio systems for houses of worship, schools, theaters, sound companies, studios and broadcast companies. Users span the world and applications include major televised sporting events, numerous network television productions, major motion pictures, Broadway shows, live tours and studios.

Aviom's newest innovation, the AllFrame Multi-Modular I/O System, has already won numerous industry awards and captured the attention of system designers and installers with the flexibility and cost savings it offers. Built on the Pro64 version of A-Net, this fully field-configurable modular system allows contractors to select the I/O complement and form factor best suited for an application. With six I/O cards per frame and accessory kits for mounting on- or in-wall, in a rack or floor packet or directly on stage as a drop box, the AllFrame keeps analog cabling to a minimum, reducing system complexity and labor costs.
