Artistic Licence Celebrates at PLASA09

plasa2009-full-picture-high-ressmall.jpgArtistic Licence celebrated its 21st Anniversary at one of its busiest and most successful PLASA shows to date.

Creative Director, Wayne Howell's seminar on Artistic Licence Art-Net: The Benefits in Large Scale Installations & Applications saw standing room only, with candidates being turned away at the door. Subjects covered included how to maximise Art-Net's capabilities, the integration of Art-Net into large scale applications and a discussion on broadcast and unicast.

The content catered for the wide variety of attendees which included specifiers, designers, end users etc, who agreed that the discussion clarified points of use and brought people up to speed on the history of control and what Art-Net II, the latest version of Art-Net, could offer. Transcripts and video clips of the seminar and the Q&A session which followed can be found on the Artistic Licence website at www.ArtisticLicence.com

Four new products were launched at the show - Art-Play, Art-Relay, Sign-Control and Two-Play - in a well attended press launch and cocktail party on the Sunday evening. Two products, Sign-Control and Two-Play, were entered for the PLASA09 Awards for Innovation and Artistic Licence was very happy to learn that Two-Play was awarded a Commendation from the judges.

Two-Play is a two-universe, multiple record and playback Art-Net controller providing the perfect control solution for small to medium size installations.

More information and specifications of this and the other new products can be downloaded from the product section of the Artistic Licence website www.artisticlicence.com/index.php?mode=products

“The show was a great success and we are very happy with the enthusiasm with which the new products were received,” says Howell. “A real benefit of the show and seminar programme was the number of new manufacturing companies that have now agreed to support Art-Net. It was also good to hear numerous existing Art-Net developers commenting that they now fully understand the benefits of Art-Net II and will be rolling out upgrades in the near future.”
