German searchlight and large lightsource specialist A&O Technology launches a UK rental operation to compliment its facilities in Europe, the US and the Middle East.

A&O UK's warehouse will carry an extensive stock of their Falcon Architectural and Entertainment product ranges, and will be based in Blackburn, Lancashire, with easy transport links to all the UK and Ireland. A London office is scheduled to be announced, to provide a central administrative base for the new venture.

Award winning lighting rental company HSL will provide service and technical support. HSL currently holds the largest stock of A&O's Falcon range fixtures in the country, and has worked extensively with this technology for the last 3 years.

Marco Niedermeier, MD of A&O says, “This is a perfect opportunity to strengthen our worldwide business and commercial network. It will allow us to continue expanding the continuity of service for which the company is renowned, and it will be particularly beneficial for transatlantic and inter-continental projects.”

HSL's MD Simon Stuart comments, “We've made a substantial investment in A&O products recently, and have specified and used them on a huge variety of projects. Our experiences have given us complete confidence in their quality and reliability, and we've decided to cement our relationship with A&O by offering our expertise and knowledge in supporting this new company. We see massive potential for all products, particularly searchlights, in many applications …. despite the current economic climate”.

He adds that HSL and A&O have many elements in common, particularly in their commitment to the human factors of their businesses, coupled with complete dedication to excellent standards of service.

A&O's Falcon range is manufactured in Germany by Alpha One, and includes their popular 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 kW Falcon Beam Colour luminaires, a Xenon indoor and outdoor searchlight with full colour changing capabilities.

HSL has recently used Falcon products on Snow Patrol, Massive Attack, the Vodafone Music Awards, “Don't Forget The Lyrics”, Madness and many other shows and events.
