Aladdin Premieres In Seattle

The world-premiere of a two-act stage musical adaptation of the Academy Award-winning Disney film, Aladdin, will premiere at The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle this summer. Tony Award nominee Casey Nicholaw will direct, while the design team includes Tony Award-winners Natasha Katz, lighting (Beauty and the Beast, Aida) and Gregg Barnes, costumes (The Drowsy Chaperone), as well as set designer Anna Louizos (High Fidelity, In The Heights). Built in 1926, The 5th Avenue Theatre was also the venue for the 2009 world premiere of the Broadway-bound production of the musical, Catch Me If You Can, scheduled to start premieres on March 7 at the Neil Simon Theatre.
