A.C Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) Ltd's Audio division has supplied a Shure UHF-R radio microphone system and the latest NEXO PS R2 Series loudspeakers to west Midlands-based Clever Connections, a leading UK provider of technical and production management services.
Clever Connections' work encompasses a broad range of events in the corporate presentation and experiential sector. It also has a number of government based clients, all of which expect the highest standards of presentational excellence for their shows, events and exhibitions.
MD Gareth Clowes wanted to make a substantial investment in the latest Channel 38 compliant wireless mic equipment, and replace his older NEXO stock with the very successful PS R2 Series. The company's policy has always been to invest in premium brands and cutting edge equipment, enabling the very best technology and services to be offered on all projects.
He chose the A.C. Audio division after being a client of AC-ET for some time - previously purchasing various lighting and audio equipment including a Yamaha LS9-32 digital audio console.

Clever Connections' new NEXO equipment includes PS10 and PS15 R2 loudspeakers, complete with flying hardware and the latest NEXO NXAMP4x1 digital amplifier and processor, which was supplied by A.C. Audio together with Yamaha EMX5014C powered mixers and BSS FCS966EK graphic equalisers.
The PS R2 Series builds upon the groundbreaking performance of its predecessor, offering even more power, greater versatility and better value for staging and rental applications. "The speakers, combined with the new NEXO amps produce a fantastic sound and we are very happy" concludes Gareth.
On the wireless microphone side, the eight channels supplied included four Shure UR4D+ dual channel receivers, six of the highly compact Shure UR1 body pack transmitters and two Shure UR2 handheld transmitters with Shure SM58 microphone capsules, plus all associated power distribution, and cabling.
The kit went into immediate use and once again Clever Connections is delighted with the results, and the great service from AC-ET.
