3D-Capable Digital Projection Projector Unveiled

Value and performance-driven, 3-chip HIGHlite 330-3D displays will launch at $29,995 with lens included

ATLANTA, GA – 9/12/2012 – Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announces a bold addition to their powerful but value-driven HIGHlite Cine 3-chip DLP series. Delivering up to 4500 lumens of brilliant imagery, the new HIGHlite 330-3D signals a bold expansion of DPI’s already robust single-chip and 3-chip 3D projector line. Two new models will be launched at CEDIA 2012: a high contrast version delivering 2500 lumens and greater than 10000:1 contrast, and a high brightness version delivering 4500 lumens. Particularly noteworthy is the HIGHlite 3D’s conservative price points for such advanced displays. Priced at under $30,000 MSRP with lens included, the new HIGHlite 330-3D can be configured with fixed or zoom lens options, allowing for expanded installation flexibility.

Previously, superb large-screen 3D experiences in the home were reserved for the most elite home theaters using DPI’s award-winning TITAN Reference 1080p-3D models. Serving as a complement to the existing TITAN 3D product line, the HIGHlite 330-3D introduces a native 1080p, 3-chip 3D display to home cinemas for just 60% of the cost of entry level TITAN 3D models. Enthusiasts can now experience flicker-free 3D entertainment while benefitting from the exceptional value of the HIGHlite 330-3D. Combined with the vast selection of single-chip and 3-chip 3D capable displays already in Digital Projection’s product line, the new HIGHlite 330-3D continues DPI’s legacy of offering the most capable and diverse 3D projectors available today.

Brightness is an essential characteristic when selecting a 3D projector for home entertainment. Of paramount importance in any projector, however, is the overall image quality in both 2D and 3D modes. With up to 4500 lumens on tap, the new HIGHlite 330-3D models provide more than enough brightness to thrive in large-screen dedicated theaters, as well as in home venues with some ambient light, such as media rooms with smaller screen sizes. The compact and quiet chassis, 1080p resolution, broad source connectivity and straightforward user interface make the HIGHlite 330-3D ideal projector solutions for home entertainment enthusiasts desiring exceptional 2D and 3D imagery with stellar 3-chip imaging, contrast and color performance. Augmenting these benefits are the overall efficiency and long-life of the lamp system, enabling this new platform to produce beautiful 2D and 3D imagery while consuming very low power and producing very little noise and heat.

HIGHlite displays fill a key position in DPI’s 3-chip DLP home entertainment product line. Both the award-winning 3-chip TITAN Reference 1080p and LIGHTNING Reference 1080p are already well established as providing the pinnacle of imaging performance for the most elite home cinemas in the world. Additionally, the single-chip iVision, E-Vision, dVision and M-Vision product lines are widely recognized for their precision and image quality for smaller screens. The new HIGHlite displays deliver 3-chip image fidelity for a variety of home applications with medium to large screens, at a price point more akin to the top end of the single-chip product line.

Installation is flexible due to the HIGHlite 330-3D’s compact chassis design and extraordinary lens shift range of 120% vertical and 30% horizontal. Multiple lens options provide further flexibility, with .77 and 1.16:1 fixed lenses plus zoom lenses with throw ratios ranging from 1.45 – 6.76:1. HIGHlite 330-3D connectivity includes two HDMI inputs, as well as RGB via D-15, component, composite and S-Video inputs. DPI will be demonstrating numerous new 2D and 3D precision projectors throughout a completely reconfigured booth (#3454) at CEDIA Expo 2012 from September 6 – 8 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
