ASM Global Announces Three New Executive Hires to its Commercial Partnership Division

Venue management company ASM Global has been building out its team and expanding various initiatives throughout 2022 as it continues to grow its programs and influence in the events space. Most recently, it has announced three new executive hires to its commercial partnership division, which the company notes is aimed at “expanding the company’s leverage of its massive 350 global portfolio of arenas, stadiums, theaters convention centers and entertainment zones.”

The executives joining the company are Bryce G. Townsend as Senior Vice President, Commercial Partnerships; Kevin Dent, Vice President, Sponsorship Sales and Business Development; and Emily Wilson, Director, Marketing Solutions.

These hires come on the heels of several other team hires and promotions over the past few months, including Daniel Hoffend as executive vice president, convention centers; Liam Thornton as EVP strategy and development; Patrick Lynch as senior vice president, private events; and Alex Merchán being promoted to chief marketing officer.

“We have even more scale, consumer touchpoints and the ability to integrate brands into music, sports, business, tech and more—that will drive unmatched value for the brands, content providers, venue partners and guests,” said ASM Global chief commercial officer Jason Oberlander. He added that Townsend, Dent, and Wilson will help provide “the most scaled, diverse and impactful opportunities the industry has seen to date.”

Prior to joining ASM, Townsend held leadership roles at GroupM, Momentum Worldwide and the Drone Racing League, and has over 20 years of experience in strategic consulting, brand marketing and commercial strategy experience. Dent’s more than 25 years of experience come from sports and lifestyle corporate sponsorship roles including AT&T, NBA, and MLS. Finally, Wilson most recently served as Associate Marketing Director at Dotdash Meredith and also has prior experience working at Time Inc. and Universal McCann.

Venue partnerships orchestrated by the ASM Global Commercial Partnerships team this year have included ChargeFUZE, Clorox, DoorDash, and Wicked Kitchen, among others, with more undoubtedly coming in 2023.
