When CMI Communications supported the stage production for a multifaceted event at the Minneapolis Convention Center in August utilizing a large complement of Ayrton GHIBLI LED spot luminaires, illuminating the sessions that are broadcast internationally, and for the over 1800 attendees of the event.   The lighting fixtures matched exactly in output and color temperature even though they were supplied by three different vendors.
For the past seventeen years, British Lighting Designer Graham McLusky has made his way to South Africa to light the annual pantomime, or “panto,” a musical comedy family stage show based on a fairy tale or nursery rhyme and produced during the holidays.  This season “Jack and the Beanstalk” was presented at the Joburg Theatre during November and December, and it received rave reviews.  McLusky utilized the theatre’s new lighting gear, which included 12 Claypaky Sharpy Plus lighting fixtures recently purchased from DWR Distribution.

The ever-dazzling International Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese, returned to Australia with her most lavish touring show ever, “Glamonatrix.”  It was the first outing for Phaseshift Productions’ Claypaky Sharpy Plus lighting fixtures, which are capable of being both a perfect beam light and a perfect spotlight.  Dita’s Production Manager and Lighting Designer, Alex Goldberg, was thrilled to have the new fixtures at the beginning of her world tour.
When Cross Roads Escape Games in Anaheim, California introduced its “Psych Ward” game last year Diablo Sound utilized Alcorn McBride’s V16Pro to run the latest escape room game. Diablo Sound developed and executed all the show control, network, video, sound and lighting system designs for the new attraction choosing the V16Pro frame accurate controller with WinScript Live programming software and ShowTouch UI.
The HiJinx Festival of Electronic Dance Music marked its second year with a return to Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center where Production Designer Cort Lawrence ramped up the excitement with Ayrton Huracán-X fixtures for dynamic graphics and colorful effects.  ACT Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Ayrton lighting fixtures in North America.
Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy Stadium scored a first in its history when it sold out a concert of Polish artists to an enthusiastic audience nearly of 60,000 fans.  Co-headliners hip-hop artist Taco Hemingway and pop artist Dawid Podsiadlo are recognized as a new wave of talented Polish performers so Pawel “Spider” Pajak gave them the star treatment with a complement of Claypaky fixtures lighting their acts.
Ayrton Perseo-S compact multi-function luminaires developed for intensive outdoor use made their US debut at the Public Works musical adaptation of “Hercules” in the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park.  Tony Award-winning Lighting Designer Tyler Micoleau selected the new fixtures, with an IP65 enclosure rating, for the Labor Day weekend production, which traditionally wraps a summer of Shakespeare in the Park outdoor shows.  ACT Lighting Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Ayrton products in North America.
