Mapping The Palace Of Karlsruhe

From August 7 to September 25, Schlosslichtspiele 2016 will illuminate the facade of Karlsruhe Palace in Germany with projection mapping projects from international artists. Peter Weibel, CEO and Chairman of the Karlsruhe Center for Art and Media (ZKM), welcomed back Maxin10sity managing director, Tamas Vaspori, and Maxin10sity creative director and director of Legacy, Andras Sass, who created a show that presents what awaits visitors of Karlsruhe Palace. The show shifts through various time periods, such as Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, Greek Empire, Middle Ages, Ottoman Empire, and more, and features seven artifacts, carefully modeled and digitally rendered for realistic representation within the projections. To cover the 180m x 20m facade, 24 Panasonic PT-DZ21K 3 chip DLP projectors are rigged in two towers positioned 80m away, with Coolux Pandoras Box as the media server. Watch the show in the video below.
